Processed or Quick Cure?

Processed flippers are hand waxed, flasked and injected with Ivoclar premium acrylic, the same as our full denture bases.  Typically these are used for longevity and possibly a permanent solution.  Clasping can be incorporated with the use of prefab ball and t-clasps if self-retention may be an issue.  Up to 8 Dentsply Classic teeth are included in the price of the appliance, but there is an option to substitute with Ivoclar Blueline or Dentsply Premium Portrait teeth.

Quick Cure- The models are duplicated, teeth are set and held to place with a putty matrix while flowing a mixture of quick cure powder and monomer to create the base.  They are then heat cured under pressure and finished in the normal manner.  Typically used for short term temporization of extracted teeth, interim for implant placement or something to just fill the gap.  This quick cure material is good for two weeks up to 6 months.  By then a permanent solution is needed.  Price includes up to 8 Dentsply Classic teeth.

Cost of each is based on the material used but also the time in fabricating.  Below are the different pricing options to choose from.

About Us

There is always something to learn...  now in my 50th year as a lab tech the landscape continues to change.  With that comes efficiencies in most cases, but not without a cost and sometimes quite the learning curve.  The idea behind RDLtechnews.online is to share experiences, new products as well as old, along with a few technical tips that we, as a lab, have come across.  If you have a question, never hesitate to ask.  If we don't have the answer, someone does!!
